Costa Rica: Day Three/Justin’s Birthday
On the third day of our trip, Justin and I celebrated his 27th birthday! The day before, Miguel offered to take us on an extra horseback ride this morning if we came to the stables before he started his hikes for the day and promised not to tell the front desk. He didn’t even know it was Justin’s birthday, he was just extremely nice to us and I think he just really loves his job and sharing Costa Rica with people. So we met him at 7:15 and went on an even better ride than the day before, way up high to beautiful miradors overlooking the volcano and lake. We went riding for about an hour, along with a French couple that we had hiked and rode with the day before.
